Irina Peroš was born in Riga, Latvia.
She began her education as an Opera Singer in Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in Riga, Latvia, by mezzo-soprano Andžella Goba.
During her first semesters in JVLMA, Irina Peroš took active part in The Opera Studio "Figaro". She made her debut on the Latvian National Opera small stage, with the secondary role - Pleene, in the Opera of Jānis Kalniņš "Lolitas Brīnumputns” („Lolitas Feuervogel).
In 2012, thanks to The Erasmus Programme (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students), she moved to Graz, Austria and continued her education at University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, in the class of contralto Claudia Rüggeberg.
During her studies in KUG Graz, she gained experiences in MUMUTH (Haus für Musik und Musiktheater ) in class of Frank Cramer, Bernhard Steiner, Dominique Mentha and Roman Hovenbitzer und Christian Poewe.
In June 2015, Irina Peroš has mad a debut in MUMUTH (Haus für Musik und Musiktheater ) with the secondary role of 2nd Dame in W.A.Mozart Opera "The Magic Flute".
In December 2015, performed in MUMUTH (Haus für Musik und Musiktheater ) as Gaston (hosenrolle) in Jacques Offenbach opera "Monsieur et Madame Denis".
In June 2016, performed in MUMUTH (Haus für Musik und Musiktheater ) as Mrs. Jessel in Benjamin Britten Opera "The turn of the screw".
In June 2016, Tommaso Traetta "Stabat Mater", alto solo.
From WS2015, Irina Peroš continuing her Master Studies with Soprano Elena Pankratova and from SS2017 with mezzo-soprano Hermine Haselböck
In 2009, Irina Peroš received 3rd prize on the international Oxana Petrusenko singing competition in Ukraine.
In the same year she also received a 3rd prize on the international Teodor Reiters singing competition in Riga.
In 2015, she was a winner of Crescendo Summer Institute 2015 in Hungary.
The Young Mezzosoprano is the holder of the Graz City Special scholarship and Fordestipendium of the City Graz.
During all this period Irina actively sings in Poland, Germany, Austria, Italy and Hungary. She also had chance to collect professional experiences at Lehár Festival in Bad
Ischl, Austria.
In 2017 Irina Peroš will sing in cooperation with Oper Graz and Universität Graz, the role of Mother in Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Visitors" and will take part in Rossini's "Il viaggio a Reims" as Maddalena.
BIOGRAPHIE
Lyrischer Mezzosopran, wurde in Riga (Lettland) geboren.
Irina Peroš ist Preisträgerin internationaler Wettbewerbe, darunter 3. Preis beim Internationalen Oxana Petrusenko Gesangswettbewerb (Ukraine), 3. Preis beim Teodor Reiter Gesangswettbewerb (Riga) und Sonderpreis beim Crescendo Summer Institute in Ungarn. Zudem ist sie Stipendiatin der Gesellschaft der Freunde der Kunstuniversität Graz und der Stadt Graz.
Sie begann ihre Ausbildung (Gesang, Klavier, Musiktheorie) an der Jāzeps Vītols Musikakademie ihrer Heimatstadt bei A. Goba. Schon während ihres Studiums (2010-2012) war sie Mitglied im JVLMA Opernstudio und debütierte an der Lettischen Staatsoper in der Rolle der PLEENE in Janis Kalnis Oper „Lolitas Feuervogel“.
2012 setzte sie ihre Gesangsausbildung als Erasmus-Studentin an der Kunstuniversität Graz fort (Gesang bei Prof. C. Rüggeberg). Am Institut für Musiktheater interpretierte sie die ZWEITE DAME in Mozarts „Zauberflöte“ (2015), GASTON in Offenbachs „Herr und Frau Denis“ (2015) und MRS. JESSEL in Benjamin Brittens "The Turn of the Screw“ (2016). Sie schloss ihr Studium mit Bachelor 2016 bei Prof. E. Pankratova erfolgreich ab.
Anschließend begann sie ihr Masterstudium Gesang und Musiktheater (Gesang bei Prof. H. Haselböck).
Zukünftige Produktionen werden sein: 2017 MUTTER in Menottis "Amahl und die nächtlichen Besucher" (Kooperation der Oper Graz und der Kunstuniversität Graz), 2018 MADDALENA in Rossinis "Il viaggio a Reims" (Studierauftrag an der Oper Graz).
Im Rahmen ihrer Ausbildung an der Kunstuniversität in Graz befaßte sie sich auch intensiv mit Lied und Oratorium (Klasse Prof. Chr. Whittlesey und R. Heimann). Zahlreiche Konzert-Engagements führten sie seither nach Lettland, Deutschland, Österreich, Ungarn, Italien, darunter mit T. Traettas "Stabat Mater" im Rahmen einer Konzerttournee.
